Public Safety

Crime affects our quality of life more than anything else. To enjoy our parks, access public transportation or run a successful business, we must first be safe.

Increased police presence is a major portion of my public safety plan. It is a critical step in preventing crime in our district. One of my first actions as your supervisor was to successfully advocate for the Taraval Police Station to be designated a training station, resulting in five new officers patrolling our streets.

Homelessness

I believe we can solve homelessness in San Francisco, just as other major cities have tackled this difficult issue. We must provide support programs that help the homeless population through services and housing. At the same time we must not allow aggressive panhandling and anti-social behavior on our streets. There is still much to be done to provide opportunities for homeless people and to reenter society, and to make our neighborhood safer and more livable for everyone.

Beautification of Parks

We live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and in one of the most beautiful districts in the City. It is important for our community to maintain our parks and streets, and plan for future projects to make our neighborhood as green as possible.

Making Government Work

As taxpayers we fund City services so we should have access to those services. That is why I worked to help create the 311-call center. This Center revolutionizes and streamlines how residents interact with City government.
