Election Day!

Please join us at the Avenue Lounge, 1334 Noriega at 20th, tomorrow night after the polls close at 8pm to celebrate the close of the election and all of your hard work. This is a 21 and older venue, so please plan for child care if you will be coming through.

Also, if you are available during the day, please stop by the headquarters for some election day action.

District 4 Halloween Costume Drive

What are you going to be for Halloween? With Halloween right around the corner, that’s a question that every kid is hearing right now. Donate costumes, dress-up clothes, festive accessories, masks and props to Supervisor Chu’s District 4 Costume Drive!  Look for our spookily decorated donation bins.

Tree Planting and Greening Project

I wanted to give you an opportunity to participate in the Sunset’s largest greening event this year — Dig It! — on Saturday, October 18th.

In partnership with Friends of the Urban Forest, the Neighborhood Parks
Council and Timberland, our office will be engaging 300 volunteers to plant up to 150 trees throughout the Sunset and also work on a synchronized greening project at an Outer Sunset park or school.

Walk & Talk & Free Lunch

Please come and join the newly formed walking club at Ocean Park Health Center.  This is a great opportunity to begin to take care of yourself, learn about exercise and nutrition and meet your neighbors.  The information is as follows.

When: Sept. 10, 17, 24 and Oct. 1
Wednesdays at 10am - noon

Where: Meet at Ocean Park Health Center
1351 24th Avenue, SF CA 94122

What: Each session has 30 minutes educational talk including:
- Diet & weight management
- Benefits of exercise
- Medicare and prescription drugs plan
- Hepatitis B

Followed by:
